The short version

PocketAlign is a DIY measurement aid, not professional alignment equipment. Wheel alignment is safety-critical: a bad alignment can change how your car handles and can cause loss of control. Verify your work, and when in doubt have the vehicle checked by a qualified professional.

The 3D-printed adapter is yours, not ours. You fabricate it, so its rigidity, dimensions, and fit are unverified by us — its quality directly affects your measurements.

Readings can be wrong. Accuracy depends on your phone's sensors, your adapter, your floor, and your procedure. Treat every number as an estimate to be verified.

The app is free, sideloaded from this site only, and not open source. Download it only from pocketalign.com, install updates yourself, and don't redistribute it.

Working on cars is dangerous. You assume the risks of vehicle service and motorsport. Our liability is strictly limited, and disputes go to individual arbitration.

That's the plain-English gist. The full terms below are what's binding.

1.Acceptance of these Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and TheDigicar LLC ("PocketAlign," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the PocketAlign Android application (package com.gyroplane.align), the pocketalign.com website — including the downloadable APK, the browser-based calculators, corner-weight planner, and parachute packing guide — and any related features, content, and services (collectively, the "Service").

BY DOWNLOADING, INSTALLING, OR USING THE APP, OR BY USING THE WEBSITE, YOU AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE, DO NOT USE THE SERVICE.

THESE TERMS INCLUDE A SAFETY DISCLAIMER AND ASSUMPTION-OF-RISK PROVISION (SECTIONS 3–6), A RELEASE AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY (SECTION 16), AND REQUIRE BINDING INDIVIDUAL ARBITRATION OF DISPUTES AND WAIVER OF CLASS ACTIONS (SECTION 19). PLEASE READ THEM CAREFULLY.

You represent that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is greater), that you are legally able to enter into a binding contract, and that you are not barred from using the Service under any applicable law.

2.What PocketAlign is (and is not)

PocketAlign uses an Android phone's built-in gyroscope and accelerometer, together with a user-fabricated 3D-printed adapter, to estimate wheel-alignment geometry — toe, camber, caster, thrust angle, and Ackermann — as a do-it-yourself aid for people who work on their own vehicles. The website additionally offers informational calculators and reference guides for motorsport use.

PocketAlign is not:

Professional alignment equipment. It is not a calibrated instrument, has not been certified against any measurement standard, and is not a substitute for a professional alignment rack or a qualified technician's inspection.
A source of vehicle-safety certification. Nothing in the Service tells you that your vehicle is safe, roadworthy, or within specification. Only your own verification — and, where appropriate, a professional inspection — can do that.
Professional advice. Specifications, procedures, calculator results, and guide content are general information, not engineering, mechanical, or safety advice for your specific vehicle.

3.Safety — alignment is safety-critical

WHEEL ALIGNMENT DIRECTLY AFFECTS HOW YOUR VEHICLE STEERS, TRACKS, AND WEARS ITS TIRES. AN INCORRECT ALIGNMENT CAN CAUSE UNPREDICTABLE HANDLING, ACCELERATED TIRE FAILURE, AND LOSS OF CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, WHICH CAN RESULT IN PROPERTY DAMAGE, SERIOUS BODILY INJURY, OR DEATH. POCKETALIGN IS A DIY MEASUREMENT AID ONLY. IT IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL ALIGNMENT EQUIPMENT OR A PROFESSIONAL INSPECTION, AND YOU MUST NOT RELY ON IT AS YOUR SOLE MEANS OF VERIFYING THE ALIGNMENT OF ANY VEHICLE DRIVEN ON PUBLIC ROADS OR AT SPEED.

You agree that whenever you use the Service to adjust a vehicle you will:

Independently verify any adjustment you make — by re-measuring, road-testing at low speed in a safe environment, and monitoring tire wear — before relying on it;
Have the vehicle checked by a qualified professional if measurements are inconsistent, if handling feels wrong, or if you are in any doubt;
Remain solely responsible for the roadworthiness, legality, and mechanical condition of any vehicle you work on, and for compliance with the vehicle manufacturer's specifications and procedures;
Follow safe workshop practice — a vehicle on stands, ramps, or slip plates can fall; steering and suspension components under load can release suddenly.

4.The 3D-printed adapter

THE PHONE ADAPTER IS FABRICATED BY YOU (OR A THIRD PARTY YOU CHOOSE), NOT BY US. WE DO NOT MANUFACTURE, INSPECT, TEST, OR CERTIFY YOUR ADAPTER, AND WE MAKE NO REPRESENTATION ABOUT ITS DIMENSIONAL ACCURACY, RIGIDITY, MATERIAL SUITABILITY, OR FIT. A WARPED, FLEXIBLE, OR MIS-DIMENSIONED ADAPTER WILL PRODUCE WRONG MEASUREMENTS WITHOUT ANY WARNING FROM THE APP.

You are solely responsible for the design, printing, materials, tolerances, and condition of your adapter; for verifying that it holds the phone rigidly and contacts the wheel repeatably; and for entering accurate adapter geometry during calibration. Any design suggestions we publish are starting points, not manufactured products, and are provided without warranty of any kind.

5.Measurement accuracy & limitations

Consumer phone sensors were not built to be alignment instruments. Measurement accuracy and repeatability depend on, among other things: the quality and calibration state of your phone's gyroscope and accelerometer; sensor drift, temperature, and vibration; the rigidity and geometry of your adapter; the flatness of your floor; whether the vehicle is settled; and how carefully and quickly you follow the measurement procedure. Any reading may be wrong, and small angular errors are significant at alignment tolerances. Treat every result as an estimate to be verified, never as a certified measurement.

6.Assumption of risk — vehicle service & motorsport

YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT SERVICING, MODIFYING, AND ADJUSTING VEHICLES — AND OPERATING VEHICLES, PARTICULARLY IN MOTORSPORT — INVOLVE INHERENT AND SIGNIFICANT RISKS, INCLUDING MECHANICAL FAILURE, VEHICLE INSTABILITY, COLLISION, FIRE, PROPERTY DAMAGE, SERIOUS BODILY INJURY, AND DEATH. THESE RISKS EXIST REGARDLESS OF ANY INFORMATION PROVIDED OR OMITTED BY THE SERVICE. YOU VOLUNTARILY ASSUME ALL SUCH RISKS, WHETHER OR NOT FORESEEABLE, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR RELIANCE ON THE SERVICE, YOUR ADAPTER, YOUR ADJUSTMENTS, OR YOUR OPERATION OF ANY VEHICLE.

Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and sanctioning-body rules. Nothing in the Service is a statement about the legality of any modification or setup in your jurisdiction or at your event.

7.Distribution, installation & updates

The app is distributed only as a direct APK download from pocketalign.com. It is not published on the Google Play Store or any other app store. Because sideloading bypasses app-store review, you should download the APK only from pocketalign.com; APKs obtained anywhere else may be modified or malicious, and we are not responsible for them. Official releases are signed with our release key — Android will refuse to install an update over the app if the signature does not match.

The app does not auto-update (it has no network access at all — see our Privacy Policy). You are responsible for downloading and installing updates from pocketalign.com. We may release, modify, or stop releasing builds at any time, and we are not obligated to provide support, maintenance, or updates.

8.Track tools, calculators & guides

The website's calculators and planners (gearing, weight transfer, boost and fuel demand, corner weights) and the in-app track tools produce estimates from simplified models and the numbers you type in. The parachute packing guide summarizes a manufacturer's published packing sequence for convenient reading. All of it is general reference information, not professional or safety advice:

Calculator outputs are only as good as your inputs and the simplifications behind them — verify against real measurements before acting on them;
For safety-critical equipment such as parachutes, always follow the manufacturer's current instructions and consult the manufacturer or a qualified professional; the manufacturer's documentation controls over anything in the Service;
Third-party product names mentioned in the Service (for example, parachute or alignment-equipment manufacturers) are trademarks of their respective owners; PocketAlign is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to them.

9.Your data & exports

All measurement data, vehicle profiles, and calibration data stay on your device, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for backing up data you care about (uninstalling the app deletes its data), and for any PDF or CSV exports you generate and share — including the accuracy of information in them and any consequences of a recipient relying on them.

10.License to use the app & site; our IP

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to download, install, and use the app on Android devices you own or control, and to access and use the website, for your personal, non-commercial use. Any other use — including redistribution of the APK, commercial resale, or offering the Service's functionality to others as your own — requires our prior written consent.

PocketAlign is not open-source software. The app, the website, and all of their code, content, design, and other materials are owned by TheDigicar LLC or its licensors, protected by intellectual-property laws, and provided under license only — all rights reserved. You may not copy, modify, create derivative works from, reverse engineer, decompile, or redistribute the app or the Service except as expressly permitted by these Terms or by applicable law notwithstanding this restriction. You may not remove or falsify attribution or signing information on the APK, and you may not distribute modified versions under the PocketAlign name or in any way that suggests they are official releases.

11.Acceptable use

In connection with the Service, you will not:

Violate any applicable law, or use the Service to facilitate reckless or unlawful operation of a vehicle;
Interfere with or disrupt the website, probe or breach its security, abuse its analytics endpoint, impose unreasonable load on its infrastructure, or scrape or redistribute its content at scale;
Upload or distribute viruses or malicious code, including repackaged or tampered copies of the APK;
Misrepresent measurements or reports produced by the Service as certified, professional, or manufacturer-approved results;
Use the Service to build or support a competing product by copying its code, design, or content.

12.Feedback

If you send us suggestions, ideas, or other feedback about the Service, we may use it freely, in any form and for any purpose, without restriction, credit, or compensation to you.

13.Changes to the Service or these Terms

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service or any part of it at any time, with or without notice, and we will not be liable to you or any third party for doing so. We may also update these Terms from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with its effective date; for material changes we will provide notice by reasonable means, such as a notice on pocketalign.com. Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms take effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, stop using the Service and uninstall the app.

14.Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app and ceasing to use the website. We may suspend or terminate your access to the website, or revoke the license granted in Section 10, at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or if we reasonably deem it necessary to protect the Service or its users. Upon termination, the rights granted to you under these Terms end immediately; sections that by their nature should survive (including Sections 3–6, 10, 12, and 15–20) survive termination.

15.Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE — INCLUDING THE APP, THE APK, THE WEBSITE, AND ALL MEASUREMENTS, CALCULATOR OUTPUTS, CONTENT, AND DATA WITHIN THEM — IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITH ALL FAULTS AND WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. THEDIGICAR LLC EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES AND CONDITIONS, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND ANY WARRANTIES ARISING FROM COURSE OF DEALING OR USAGE OF TRADE.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT MEASUREMENTS OR CALCULATOR RESULTS WILL BE ACCURATE, REPEATABLE, OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PURPOSE; THAT THE APP IS COMPATIBLE WITH YOUR DEVICE OR ITS SENSORS; THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE; OR THAT ANY DEFECT WILL BE CORRECTED. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR VERIFYING ALL MEASUREMENTS AND ADJUSTMENTS BEFORE OPERATING ANY VEHICLE.

16.Release; limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU VOLUNTARILY RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE, AND HOLD HARMLESS THEDIGICAR LLC AND ITS MEMBERS, MANAGERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, CONTRACTORS, AGENTS, AND LICENSORS (THE "POCKETALIGN PARTIES") FROM ANY AND ALL CLAIMS, DEMANDS, AND CAUSES OF ACTION FOR PROPERTY DAMAGE, BODILY INJURY, WRONGFUL DEATH, OR OTHER LOSS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE) THE SERVICE, YOUR RELIANCE ON ANY MEASUREMENT OR INFORMATION IN IT, YOUR ADAPTER, ANY ADJUSTMENT MADE TO ANY VEHICLE, OR THE OPERATION OF ANY VEHICLE SO ADJUSTED.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE POCKETALIGN PARTIES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, EXEMPLARY, PUNITIVE, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, OR ANY LOST PROFITS, LOST DATA, OR LOSS OF GOODWILL, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE POCKETALIGN PARTIES' TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE EXCEED THE GREATER OF FIFTY U.S. DOLLARS ($50) OR THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE.

The limitations in this section do not apply to liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability arising from our gross negligence or willful misconduct. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you; EU/UK consumers retain their statutory rights.

17.Indemnification

You will indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the PocketAlign Parties from and against any claims, demands, losses, damages, costs, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or relating to: (a) your access to or use of the Service; (b) your fabrication or use of any adapter; (c) any adjustment you make to any vehicle, or the operation of any vehicle you have adjusted; (d) exports or reports you generate and share; (e) your violation of these Terms or any law; or (f) your violation of any third party's rights.

18.Governing law

These Terms are governed by the United States Federal Arbitration Act, applicable federal law, and the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.

19.Arbitration & class action waiver

PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO FILE A LAWSUIT IN COURT AND TO HAVE A JURY HEAR YOUR CLAIMS.

(a) Agreement to arbitrate. You and TheDigicar LLC agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your access to or use of the Service (each, a "Claim") shall be resolved by binding arbitration on an individual basis, rather than in court — except that (i) either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court if it qualifies, and (ii) either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual-property rights.

(b) Procedure. Arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, available at adr.org, before a single neutral arbitrator, conducted in English. Payment of filing, administration, and arbitrator fees will be governed by the AAA's rules. Arbitration may be conducted by videoconference or, if in person, in the county where you reside (or another mutually agreed location). The arbitrator's decision is final and binding, and judgment on the award may be entered in any court of competent jurisdiction.

(c) Class action waiver. ALL CLAIMS MUST BE BROUGHT IN THE PARTIES' INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY PURPORTED CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING. THE ARBITRATOR MAY NOT CONSOLIDATE MORE THAN ONE PERSON'S CLAIMS. IF FOR ANY REASON A CLAIM PROCEEDS IN COURT RATHER THAN ARBITRATION, EACH PARTY WAIVES ANY RIGHT TO A JURY TRIAL, AND SUCH CLAIM SHALL BE BROUGHT EXCLUSIVELY IN THE STATE OR FEDERAL COURTS LOCATED IN ORANGE COUNTY, FLORIDA, AND YOU CONSENT TO THEIR JURISDICTION AND VENUE.

(d) Opt-out. You may opt out of this arbitration agreement by emailing thedigicar@gmail.com within thirty (30) days of first accepting these Terms, with the subject line "Arbitration Opt-Out" and your name. Opting out of arbitration does not affect any other part of these Terms.

(e) Severability. If the class action waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular Claim, then the arbitration agreement shall not apply to that Claim, which shall proceed in the courts identified in subsection (c); all other Claims remain subject to arbitration.

20.General provisions

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TheDigicar LLC regarding the Service, and supersede all prior agreements on that subject. You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or by operation of law. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will remain in full force. We are not liable for any failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control. There are no third-party beneficiaries to these Terms except the PocketAlign Parties as expressly provided.
